    7. Country Rose Garden

    Fragrant flowers, exotic trees, babling waterfalls and a fishpond nestled in spruce trees make an oasis at Thomas Lake.

    An Elizabethan garden of symmetrical beds interlaced with brick pathways is hidden in a shady corner of century old grounds. Bed & Breakfast.

    14. Birtle Community Gardens

    Birtle, Main Street, Memory Garden, lilies and hardy roses dedicated to loved ones planted around old Town Hall bell. Pocket Garden opposite Memory Garden - newly established, perennials, dry stream bed Arboretum (across the bridge on Center Street, look for sign, turn right) variety hardy trees planted as Communities in Bloom project.  Self-guided.
