However, wading through the multitude of web sites to find useful information can be frustrating and time consuming. Listed below are some web sites related to healthy living that Westman Healthy Lifestyle coalition members frequent.

Manitoba Healthy Living
Healthy living is about creating conditions and supporting behaviours that promote the best possible health for everyone.  It includes the actions taken by individuals, families, communities, governments, businesses and other organizations that assist us all to lead healthier lives.   This includes individual decisions we make to eat healthy, be physically active, and avoid harmful substances or activities.  It includes actions taken by all of us together to create supportive environments.  These could include safe and healthy homes, meaningful employment and healthier working conditions, community and building design that promotes physical activity, smoke-free public spaces, and access to nutritious and safe foods.

Get Moving Manitoba
GET MOVING MANITOBA is all about helping you get more active - by encouraging you to make a personal lifestyle pledge to engage in regular physical activity.

Health in Common
Health in Common enhances capacity for initiatives that support healthy living by: making tools and resources easily accessible; improving communication between non-government, government and private sector groups and organizations; creating opportunities for groups and organizations to work together; and enhancing capacity for evaluation.  Creating healthy places for healthy people to live is not something the health system can do on its own. The public and private sectors, non-government organizations, industry, schools, communities, families and individuals all have a role to play.

In motion is a provincial strategy to help all Manitobans make physical activity part of their daily lives for health and enjoyment. Our vision is to make Manitobans healthier by increasing physical activity in the province by 10 per cent by the year 2010.
